In line with the European F- gas Regulation from the 4th July 2009 it became a legal requirement for all businesses who install, service or maintain stationary air conditioning and refrigeration heat-pump (RAC) equipment that contains “F” Gas refrigerants to hold a Company Certificate issued by an appointed Company Certification Body. Coolair has registered with REFCOM who have been formally named by Defra.
In addition the F –Gas Regulation which came into force on July 2007 requires companies and other organisations with air conditioning plant to ensure that the fluorinated greenhouse gases are contained within the system.
As part of our commitment to customers and the industry, all Coolair engineers are trained to the required standard and hold he appropriate qualifications, to ensure we comply with legislation in order to help companies to maintain their equipment and stay within this new law.
Coolair have also introduced systems within their engineering practices to help companies meet these demands by ensuring adequate labeling is carried out and that the required record keeping is enforced to comply by this law.
Companies must have equipment containing these refrigerants regularly tested. All relevant plant must be clearly labeled and maintained and comprehensive records kept. Records must be available for inspection by enforcement officers. Coolair’s service department maintenance packages will provide a comprehensive solution.
